Recent Bedroom Project

Recently Tapper Richards Interiors completed a project in a young girls' bedroom.

The clients were very satisfied, and the puppy thought the bed skirt was tasty!  Hop on over to the feature done on the MoPa Living blog for more pictures and an interview with yours truly.  http://mopaliving.com/s-room-tour/

We sourced lots of local shops for this project - including:

Kitchen & Bath Details
New Bedford Antiques at Wamsutta Place
What a Find!
The Rug Merchant
...and of course, my handy local workrooms for custom window treatments and furniture refinishing

Transient Master Retreat

Due to my incredible lack of photography skills...this last project's images were only captured on my iphone.  I am so thankful for the image quality on the iphone - point and click is so my style these days.  I will indeed conquer the hubby's mystical Cannon 5D Mark II one of these days, but for now...  Here is a little bedroom makeover installed last month.  It is a rented townhouse for a client with a transient job, so all of the decor had to be transferable to potential future homes.

We added some accessories and the right scale of lighting, updated the bed linens and added a gorgeous custom bolster.

After the client had a workout at the furniture store trying out chair after chair after chair, we decided on this gorgeous (and thankfully comfortable) little number.  The print adds some pattern and flowing movement to the space.

We re-purposed the dresser mirror to hand opposite the windows to create more light and openness.

Project Glimpse - Bunk Bed Bolsters

Project Glimpse

Here is a cozy reading spot - perfect for a day like today.  Here in the South Coast of Massachusetts, we're getting snow - again.  Wouldn't it be great to cuddle up in here with the little ones and tackle an afternoon of reading and napping?  At the foot of these custom / home-made bunk beds lie two wonderfully over-sized, custom-made bolster pillows with a plush vibrant chenille red fabric.  Nearby, the Sapien Bookcase from Design Within Reach, designed by Bruno Rainaldi  (available here) holds more books than you would ever imagine - a great use of space in this small bedroom.
