Window Shopping, "What A Find", Fairhaven, MA

What a Find is a great furniture consignment shop on Rt 6 in Fairhaven.  Their stock changes frequently and I always enjoy going in to see what they have.  I am always impressed with their pricing on lighting.  A few years ago I purchased two turned wood lamps for $30.  Not $30 each, $30 total!  They have since received a coat of paint and new shades and are some of my favorite pieces in my home.  The best part is I can repaint them or swap shades anytime I want to coordinate with different schemes and spaces.

I popped into the shop last week and here are some of my finds:

Gorgeous teak desk in excellent condition.

Great price!

Brass lamp-great size and silhouette.

A wing chair for less than $150!?  Great!  This upholstery is actually in great condition also...

Happy shopping.

What a Find is located at 154 Huttleston Ave, Fairhaven, MA.

Old to New

There is something about spending some time in an Antiques Shop then immediately driving to a local (gorgeous) home decor store.  This local gem, Details and Designs in South Dartmouth, was where I headed after antiquing one day.  I wanted to BUY EVERYTHING.  It was so invigorating to see new, fresh things in line with today's scale and design aesthetic after climbing through booths of vintage finds.  The shop is adorable, but be warned - a visit will make you want to go home, paint everything white, buy all new lamps and lighting and edit accessories to a few key pieces that are fresh and new.  At least that's what happened to me.
